Jack of all Days

It’s only right that we should mention Harry’s birthday since the final book of the series was just published. I, of course, read it in one sitting. I won’t give away any details for those who still haven’t read it, but it was a satisfying ending.

I can’t remember the last time I had so much fun reading; the rich detail, the allusions to figures from myth and literature, the plot twists and turns. I look forward to the day when I can read the series again with my grandson. Until then, I’ll remain a Potter fan. I think the books had a lot to say about the world we live in today. And I hope–that like in the book–good will overcome evil at last.
